MY VISIT TO THE FOREST RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Hey guys! I am pretty sure you don't wanna know why this place was created, by whom, when, and whatsoever. So, I'm not gonna tell you, and that's also because I don't know.
Last December I went to the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun, popularly known as FRI. And believe me, I was bewitched. You must have seen this place in movies like Student Of The Year and its sequel, also some famous Punjabi songs like Teri Naar. People use this place because it is Beautiful!
The moment you enter it, you will be surprised by the grandeur and the frolic greenery all around. Fresh air, tall trees will surely make your walk to the central part of the campus much easier. So basically it's a place for research. People live there and do their research. It is one of the oldest institutes in India. There are around 5-6 museums inside the main building. These museums have things about forests and environment, the history and stuff. The University inside has a ton of students.
FRI is one of the prettiest buildings in Dehradun. Its symmetry is on point and you can spend time walking around the campus and not get bored. It also allows cycles if you have one, driving is also an option, but I would prefer walking because you can explore more by that. The vast expanse of lawns is perfect for family outings and picnics.
It's better to visit it in the afternoon so that you can stay in the green field and watch the sunset too. The weekend over there is very busy. There is also this canteen you can eat at. For those who love getting photographed, you need to go here!! I am pretty sure you'll have enough material to upload for about a month (you can ask my followers) xP
Here are some of the pictures I managed to capture (I mean the ones I got clicked by my sister, whose life I was behind, for these)
XOXO,
Sanch.
